
Dr. Sandeep Langar is an Assistant Professor in the College of Architecture, Construction and Planning at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning from College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech. His research interests are focused towards holistically evaluating and understanding the adoption patterns for sustainable strategies and technologies, the impact of Building Information Modeling (BIM), and enhancing the resilience of built facilities against natural hazards. Dr. Langar has authored numerous peer-reviewed research publications majorly in the fields of Building Resilience, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Innovations towards Sustainability (ITS). The ultimate aim of his research is to find alternatives for conventional strategies and technologies and help them be adopted so that facilities are not only able to generate a symbiotic relationship with the biome but also be resilient to the natural hazards. Sandeep also has collaborated with multiple stakeholders from public and private sectors during his academic and professional career.
