
Ms. Shelby Ivy is a graduate
assistant pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She enjoys studying predictive statistics and exploratory data analysis, and she intends to implement these skills into the public sector. Contributing to research that influences local and federal government policies is her long-term goal, and her current aim is to explore innovative sustainability methods to improve local sustainable developments. After graduation, she aspires to work in research and data analysis for a nonprofit organization.
Dr. Suchismita Bhattacharjee is an Assistant Professor in the College of Architecture at
the University of Oklahoma. She holds Masters Degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and Michigan State University in Building Construction and Construction Management respectively. She also holds a Ph.D. in Building Construction from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, USA. Dr. Bhattacharjee has published more than 30 research articles in various journals and conferences. Her areas of focus is sustainability and energy efficiency in the built environment. Additionally, she has also published several articles related to indoor environmental quality.
Ms. Chayanika is an independent researcher, aspiring for a Ph.D. position in the field of sustainable buildings, with an emphasis on Zero Energy Buildings.
By understanding the role of contractors in the construction of ZEB (Zero Energy Buildings), she aims in understanding the barriers in implementation of ZEB. She has collaborated with Dr. Langar as a colleague in the research team (Sustainable Facilities and Infrastructure Lab, Virginia Tech) and since then collaborated with him for multiple projects on adoption of innovation for sustainable facilities, total cost of ownership of sustainable buildings, and third party certification such as LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design).
